Planning Applications

Planning and Development became part of the Community Development Committee in 2018 and any issues with Planning and Development will be dealt with by that Committee or a Planning Sub-Committee.

The Town Council plays an active part in all local planning issues. It is probably the area of the Council’s role that is best known to the community and which can be of the most importance, however, while the Town Council is consulted on planning issues, Northumberland County Council is the planning authority.
