There’s been a SECOND confirmed case of Avian Influenza in Northumberland.

 

If you spot a dead wild bird in Northumberland

 

Please report it to DEFRA on 03459 335577 (select option 7)

DO NOT touch or pick up any dead or visibly sick birds.

All bird keepers – big or small - must house or net all poultry and captive birds to keep them separate from wild birds.

 

Although the risk to human health is very low, it can spread rapidly through the bird population with devastating consequences.
