Following a tendering process that ended in April, Blyth Town Council appointed Wicksteed to carry out the necessary groundworks, supply, and installation of play area equipment at Chestnut Avenue.

Wicksteed has confirmed that they anticipate the work to begin on Monday, 26 June.
Update: There has been a small delay in the work starting, it is now scheduled to start 10th July.

Given normal progress, the Council expects the play area to be available for children to enjoy the new facilities from the end of July.
